Anton Kless, age 90 of Wonder Lake, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 11, 2021. He was born on July 21, 1931, in Yugoslavia, to Anton and Theresia Kless. He met and married the love of his life Marianne Schmidtecker on February 21, 1954 in Yugoslavia. Anton enjoyed working out in the yard and going fishing. He loved to play cards. His greatest joy came from being around his loving family. Anton is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marianne; his children, Paul (Marie) Kless, Anton (Josalene) Kless; grandchildren, Christine (Jared) Parmley, Jill (Chris) Bays, Madlie Kless, Nicole Kless, Colleen (Gabe) Altenbernd; great grandchildren, Sarah Parmley, Samantha Parmley, Brody Bays,Brandon Bays, Beckett Bays, Aubrey Wilson; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Schmidtecker, Gertrud Rittner and brother-in-law Andreas Rittner; nieces, Mary, Elizabeth, Ellie, Monika, Christine and a nephew Arnold. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Theresia Kless and his brother Hans Kless and brother-in-law Joseph Schmidtecker. Visitation will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Reception Room , 5006 E. Wonder Lake Road, Wonder Lake, Illinois on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Justen's Wonder Lake Funeral Home.
