Audrey Mae Thibodeaux

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Audrey Mae Thibodeaux on Friday, November 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum.  

Audrey, age 87, first-born of Wilsey and Elsie Nezat Callier, entered her eternal reward peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 14, 2021.  She was a wonderful and loving daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and “Goo-ma”.  She was a loyal and caring friend and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.   

Family was her greatest pride and joy.  She is survived by her children, Randy (Carrie) Thibodeaux of Spring, Texas, Karen (Carlos) Benoit of Erwinville, Pam (Robert) McFarland of Ruston, and Brent (Becky) Thibodeaux of  Pecaniere; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jacob (Brooke) Thibodeaux-Jett and Devon; Kristen (Geoff) Evans; Jessica (Luke) Wilde; Christopher Jared (Candace) Benoit-Cooper and Carlee; Erin (Clint) Verbeek-Caeson and Callie; Ashley (Micah) Davis-Brooke and Cannan; Koy McFarland; and Brock Thibodeaux. She will also be missed by nephews, nieces, and many friends whom she loved dearly.  

She was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate of 59 years, Raphael “Ray” Thibodeaux; parents, Wilsey and Elsie Callier; siblings, W.J. Callier and Vicki Callier.   

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday night. Visitation will continue on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
