Van James Paletta

<p>Helper Utah – Van James Paletta age 67 passed away on November 11, 2021 in Price, Utah.</p><p><br></p><p>Van James Paletta was born April 14, 1954 in Price, Utah to James and Betty Paletta (Drolc).</p><p><br></p><p>He was raised by his parents in Helper, Utah. He went to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Helper where he was an altar boy. He played little league and pony league baseball, and also played football. His little league team was the Helper Furniture, and his football team was the Packers. He went to Carbon High School and enjoyed spending time with his friends.</p><p><br></p><p>He met Teri Keysaw (Tryfonas) and married her in 1975. They had their first daughter Tiffany on November 22, 1975. They had their second daughter Michele on May 29, 1978. They later divorced.</p><p><br></p><p>He worked many years in the family-owned bar and grill Jimbo’s alongside his mom and dad where he served amazing food and drinks as a bartender and cook while making many friends that he has had throughout his life. He won the MS Ugliest Bartender contest which all proceeds went to the treatment and cure for MS.</p><p><br></p><p>He was one of the contributing persons to the organization of the Castle Valley Men’s Pool League. He also worked as a miner in Valley Camp, he worked as a truck driver, and he worked as a heating duct Specialist for Spring Glen Heating.</p><p><br></p><p>He loved being in the mountains searching for his next art project or arrowheads. Being on the open road made him happy and so he got his CDL and started driving truck. One of his greatest joys though was spending time with his first grandson Braydon. They would go out into the mountains surrounding Helper and be gone for hours just exploring. He most definitely loved his grandbabies and cherished them immensely.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his daughters Tiffany Caldwell (Paletta) and Michele Paletta; his 7 grandchildren Braydon, Antony, Marcos, Kanyun, Dakota, Kaylee, and Berlynn; his two great granddaughters Everleigh and Anastasia; his sisters Cathy (Lloyd) Workman and Debbi Paletta and his brother Jimmy (Sherry) Paletta.</p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his father James and mother Betty and his grandparents.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial Services will be held on Saturday December 4, 2021 at Regis Club at 138 S Main Street, Helper, Utah 84526 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Helper Utah – Van James Paletta age 67 passed away on November 11, 2021 in Price, Utah.


Van James Paletta was born April 14, 1954 in Price, Utah to James and Betty Paletta (Drolc).
