Doreen E. Glendinning

Doreen E. Glendinning, 64, of Willimantic, passed away at her home on Monday, November 15, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Dorothy (Macomber) Champagne. Born on September 24, 1957 in Willimantic, CT, Doreen spent most of her life residing in Chaplin and Willimantic.  She is survived by her partner and great love of 21 years, William “Bill” Lovett. In addition to Bill, she is survived by her children, Tracey Couillard of Indianapolis, IN, Christopher Couillard of East Windsor, and Sara Taft of Enfield; siblings, Glory Beer of Chaplin, Wesley Champagne of Willimantic, and Gail DaRos (Gary) of Woodstock; her nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and countless cousins.  Doreen enjoyed days at the beach, and weekends in New Hampshire with her life long friend, Darlene Lee. Doreen’s greatest loves were her grandchildren, and the clients she cared for during her time with the Department of Developmental Health Services for the state of Connecticut.  Relatives and friends may call on Friday November 19, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Bacon Funeral Home 71 Prospect St, Willimantic with a service to follow at 6:00pm.
