Graveside services for Mr. Camden Cooper, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, with Father Robert Johnson officiating, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Mr. Cooper, 95, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He was a baptized Catholic. He was the owner/operator of Cooper Building and Lumber Supply since 1965. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children. He also enjoyed listening to Cajun music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ovelia Cooper. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of sixty years, Ginell Cooper, of Alexandria; three sons, Terry Wayne Cooper, and his wife, Lynn, of Virginia, Camden Cooper, Jr., and his wife, Hazel, of Alexandria, and James Charles Cooper, of Forest Hill; three daughters, Linda Barton, and her husband, John, of Poland, Connie Powell, and her husband, William, of Woodworth, and Kimberly Ann Cooper, of Alexandria; twelve grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
