Obituary

Arsene E. (Frapp) Frappier, of New Smyrna Beach, FL and formerly of Middleboro,MA,  passed away quietly at home after a long and valiant battle with cancer on Friday, November 5, 2021.

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife Barbara, sons Paul Frappier and hIs wife Laura of Holbrook, Philip Frappier and Liz Costa of Whitman , step children MacDonald Sprague III of Middleboro, Meredith Sprague of Kingston, his sister Diana Murphy and husband Michael of Middleboro as well as four grandchildren Michael, Morgan, Max, and Hunter, niece Yvonne Butler and nephew Ian Murphy.  Frapp will be sorely missed not only by his family but also by his many friends and his dear cats.

Frapp was a skilled sheet metal worker working in the heating and air conditioning trade until his retirement in 2017.  A career that began at the Quincy Naval Shipyard and included owning his own HVAC business.   He was admired for his work ethic, attention to detail and quality in all things.  An avid salt water fisherman he spent time fishing in Cape Cod Bay and out on Stellwagon Bank catching a tournament winning 908 pound blue fin tuna.  He was a true patriot,  proud of his military service, and a supporter of many veterans’ projects.

Frapp was blessed with having many lifelong friends and the just as dear newer ones in Florida.  These friends being a testament to the man he was.  His sense of humor never flagged even in his final days.  He was so very generous and always there in his quiet way to lend a helping hand to family, friends, or strangers in need.

A private burial and memorial will be held at the Nemasket Hill Cemetery in Middleboro at a later date.  Gifts in his memory may be made to  WoundedWarriorProject.org  or the Pine Street Inn in Boston.
