Veronica "Ronnie" Martin-Bos. 72, died Friday, April 15, 2016 at Bayview Health Care Center surrounded by her family. Ronnie was the second of six children born to the late John and Jenny Lynch. She was a loving mother to her daughter, Hattie Beschinski, son, John Martin and his wife Joseline Garcia-Martin, son Charles Martin and his wife Sommer Martin, son Thomas Martin and his wife Melissa Martin. She was a proud grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 11. She was predeceased by her brother John Lynch. She is survived by Alice Lynch, Bernadette and BJ Arias, Stephen and Lynn Lynch, Janette and the late Ernest Hiltbruner and Laurie and Michael Perrier as well as many nieces, and nephews. As a resident of Bayview Healthcare Center for the past 16 years she considered the staff and residents as part of her family. She was President of the Resident Council, Served as the Resident Advocate on the Longterm Care Advisory Council in the Legislative office Building for 6 years. She also served on the Executive Board of Connecticut's Coalition of Presidents of Resident Councils. Ronnie was awarded the Carol Rosewald Award at Voices 2010 for advocacy for those living in nursing homes. She enjoyed listening to books, history, art, painting, good conversation and many happy hours with her family. She was a New York Mets fan since 1969. Despite her disability, she showed strength and optimism every day of her life. She considers her children her greatest achievement. Her family will greet relatives and friends at the Thomas L. Nielan and Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic, CT from 4pm to 6pm on Tuesday, April 19th with a service to directly follow.
