Marcella Frances McQuinn, 80, passed away on Nov. 9, 2021 in Great Falls surrounded by family.
Marcella was born March 30, 1941 to Jim and Olga Roane of Lewistown. She was raised in and around Lewistown and graduated from Fergus High School.
Marcella married the love of her life, William McQuinn, on October 15, 1960 in Lewistown. They made their home in Lewistown and started their family shortly after. Both worked various jobs while raising their ten children. William eventually found a job with the Lewistown Water Department and worked there until his retirement while Marcella stayed at home with the kids and made extra money babysitting. Marcella was primarily a homemaker but somehow found time to do various volunteer work especially for St. Leos church. When not working or attending school and sporting events for their children they enjoyed camping and taking trips together. Marcella also enjoyed baking, reading, sewing, and gardening.
Marcella was a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Despite her busy and hectic life she always found time to be there for her family and friends. To all that knew her she was a truly kind and giving soul who was happiest doing nice things for those around her. She was especially concerned with the safety and well being of any child she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all those whose lives she touched in some way.
Marcella’s family would like to give a special thanks to Bonnie Kallam and Dani Phillips for their caring friendships with her.
She was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents Jim and Olga, her brother Floyd, two children Mary and Marie, and grandson Colin. She is survived by her siblings, Jim (Diona), Cecile (Betty), Alma (Jack), George, and Margaret (Rick); her children, Steve (Jackie), Sandy, Sonya (Brandon), Susan (Ken), Sherry, Selena, Scott, Sabrina (Derek), Sarah (Jaime) and Shawn; her grandchildren, Lucas, Logan, Alex, Steven, Mariah, Marcus, Celine, Chloe, McKye, Lexi, Livi, Keaton, Clara, Cella, Catie, Billy and Brice; great-grandchild Max; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
