Valerie Jean Ryan, age 60, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. She was born on December 21, 1960, in Long Beach, CA to Louie and Marilyn Mouse. Valerie graduated from Ketchum High School in 1979 and later married her love, James (Jim) Ryan on April 26, 1982, in Las Vegas. They lived most of their happy lives together in the Midwest City area. Valerie was a Human Resources Professional and served many co-workers at Fred Jones Ford, ATC, and her most recent job as a HR Manager for Spiers New Technologies in Oklahoma City. Valerie was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook and enjoyed watching cooking channels. She was always at the center of family gatherings, trips and events. She also loved going to area casinos and music venues with family whom she considered her besties to “hang around with” and she would famously say “I’m in the bonus!” Valerie is survived by her husband, Jim of the home in Midwest City, OK; step-daughter, Anna Ryan of Greenville, SC; son, Jason Ryan; granddaughter, Macy; grandson, Jase of Choctaw, OK; son, Tyler and Heather Ryan; step-grandson, Javeon Reeves; step-granddaughter, Kaydence Reeves; step-grandson, Amari Reeves of Broken Arrow, OK; mother, Marilyn Mouse of Langley, OK; sister, Debbie and John McGlasson of Vinita; sister, Sheryl and Jay Fleming of Ketchum; brother, Eric and Katie Mouse of Ketchum, and a wonderful family of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Louie Mouse; parents-in-law Roy and Margie Ryan and a sister Teresa Mouse. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Langley at 1:30 p.m. Reverends Dr. Dallas and Melinda McGlasson will be officiating the service and arrangements have been made through Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral & Cremation Service of Vinita, OK.
