Jim R. Thompson, 51, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 8:56 PM, Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri. Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Missouri. The family will be having services from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the First Christian Church in Hannibal, Missouri. Jim was born November 12, 1969, in Boston, Massachusetts. Survivors son, Chandler Stevens Thompson of Hannibal, Missouri; his special friend, Chris Dinger of Hannibal, Missouri; and other special friends, Bill and Wendy Craigmiles. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Phyllis Stevens; and his uncle and aunt, William and Wanda Jackson. Jim was a caring soul, working professionally as a registered nurse. He was a Christian, by faith. Jim was a world class cook and had the most magnetic personality, often heard saying "That's a hot mess!" Jim's karaoke parties were something of legend. He enjoyed musicals, his favorites being Oklahoma, Phantom of the Opera and Mulan Rouge. Jim's three French bulldogs were his pride and joy. When relaxing at home with the pups, Jim would watch reality shows like Project Runway and Next Top Model. Being an avid reader, he could often be found with his nose in a good book. Jim cherished his friends and family and will be forever missed by his treasured loved ones. Memorial contributions may be made to the James O'Donnell Funeral Home for Funeral Expenses.
