Bill Audas Obituary

Bill Audas died peacefully at home on November 11th, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma where he resided for 43 years.

He was born in Kentucky and lived there until he was 6 years old. His family moved to Pontiac, Michigan where he grew up until leaving home in 1953. In the ensuing decade he served in the US Army, earned a college degree, and married the love of his life Millie Urquiola in La Paz, Bolivia, South America.

Bill’s professional life spanned four decades serving four universities, the longest tenures at the University of Michigan and the University of Oklahoma. Go Blue and Boomer Sooner!

Bill loved his family and friends with unfailing kindness and generosity. He was especially proud of his five beautiful granddaughters. Bill’s sixty year marriage to Millie is a magnificent love story and was the foundation of happiness and possibility for their entire family.

He is survived by his wife Millie; son Michael of New York City; son JP and wife Ally, granddaughters Lexi, Cami, and Izzy; daughter Christina Audas and granddaughters Rocio and Carina Salvatierra, all of Norman.

Per Bill’s wishes, the family will not have a funeral service at this time, but will plan a celebration of life for a later date.

Bill asked that, in lieu of flowers, friends and family consider a donation to his named scholarship at OU’s Price College of Business OR the Student Success Fund at the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma.
