<p>Carolyn Ann Miller, 69 lost her battle with cancer and passed away at her home in Latimer Mississippi on November 10th, 2021.&nbsp;</p> <p>Carolyn Ann Odem was born September 12th, 1952 in Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg Mississippi to Hollis E Odem and Maxine (Bounds) Odem.&nbsp; Her parents divorced when she was young and she lived with various relatives at times and at an orphanage near Jackson for several years.&nbsp; She graduated from High School in Markham Illinois while residing for a time with her father and his second wife and then she returned to South Mississippi to reunite with her mother after graduation</p> <p>She met her husband Donald L Miller in Biloxi in 1972 and they were married in the chapel at Eglin Air Force Base in October of 1973. They resided in North Biloxi while Don was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base.&nbsp; She gave birth to a daughter in the Keesler Hospital in 1976 and a son there in 1980.&nbsp; After a 3 year tour to Germany from &#39;80 to &#39;83 the couple returned to live in their home in North Biloxi until it was lost to Katrina in 2005.&nbsp; Afterward, they remodeled an old farmhouse on Daisy Vestry Road in Latimer where she lived until her passing</p> <p>Carolyn worked as a Welcome Center Host for Boomtown Casino for 15 years and retired in 2009.&nbsp; She was a very active craft person, making items from paper, wood, ceramic, cloth and yarn and was always repurposing bits of this and that into things of beauty which she either sold or gave away to friends and complete strangers alike.&nbsp; She was a very warm, compassionate, easy to know person who was loved by most everyone who knew her&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her husband, Don; her daughter, Jennifer Hunt; her son, Brian Miller and his wife Chelsea; &nbsp;and her five grandchildren, Drew, Marissa, Alexis, Justin and Vicktoria, all of whom lived nearby.&nbsp; She was loved by them all and will leave a huge void in all their lives which can never be filled.</p> <p>Visitation for friends and family will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., in West Jackson County.&nbsp; Interment will be held in Biloxi National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.&nbsp;</p> <p>The Riemann Family Funeral Home, in West Jackson County is proudly serving the Miller family.&nbsp; Share memories, condolences and photos at www.riemannfamily.com</p>

Carolyn Ann Miller, 69 lost her battle with cancer and passed away at her home in Latimer Mississippi on November 10th, 2021.
