Lou Verna Hoskins, age 79, one of thirteen children born to Laura Magdaline & Theodore Strunk, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Jackie Lee Hoskins; five brothers, Louie, Ken, Homer, Bob, and Jack Strunk; and four sisters, Molly, Pauline, Mary and Wanda. She has three surviving sisters Kay Harp, Phyllis Howard and Dorothy Hunter. She had worked many years at Pine Mountain State Park as a good cook (Ha Ha). She has four children that she was very proud of, Jodi (Rob) Gross of Winchester, Michael Hoskins of Middlesboro, Laura Brock of Pineville, and Katie (Bruce) Mason of Pineville. She has seven grandchildren, Nickie (Jason) Stewart, Samantha (Tory) Goodin, Eric (Angie) Brock, Christy (Kevin) Davis, Austin Gross, Blake (Angie) Hoskins, and Taylor Hoskins; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Special friend Debbie Jones of Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. The family would like to give special thanks to the Middlesboro Nursing and Rehabilitation, they treated her like family. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Pineville.
