Mark Avery Bryant Jr. was born August 17th, 1988 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Mark and Crystal Bryant. Mark graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School in 2006. He became interested in track and field in the 6th grade and continued to compete through high school. During the summers he chose to hone his track skills by joining KY Track Club. His skills and dedication made him a great asset to the team. After high school, Mark continued his education at Southern University where he studied Physics. During his college years he would spend his summers engaging in internships that took him to different areas of the US and Chile. His scientific peers chose Mark to present his research at a Physics Conference in Seattle. Mark would later work in the service industry and logistics with Amazon and other companies. As a youth Mark accepted Christ as his LORD and Savior and was baptized at Bethany Church in Baker, LA. As a young man rededicated his life to Christ after joining Refuge Temple Ministries. Here he became involved with the choir, evangelistic ministries and community service. Mark was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clyde T. Julien. He leaves his precious memories with his son, Taavi Benton of Dallas, TX; girlfriend, Kiara Richardson of Hyattsville, MD; parents, Mark and Crystal Bryant of Baton Rouge, LA; a sister, Ashley (Brian) Baker of Bowie, MD; two brothers, David and Jonathan Bryant of Baton Rouge, LA; a maternal grandmother, Lillie Julien of Darrow, LA; paternal grandparents Roosevelt and Katie Bryant of Baker, LA; an uncle, Ritchie Bryant of Baton Rouge, LA and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In memory of Mark Avery Bryant Jr's 33 years of life, we request your presence at the memorial service on Friday, November 12th at 2:00. The service will be at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Donaldsonville, La. A repast will follow at the J E Thompson Center in Donaldsonville. Come celebrate the life of our beloved Mark Jr with us.
