Randy L. Litteral

Randy L. Litteral, 65, residing in Milan, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 10, 2021 at the University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center following a battle with heart issues. Randy was born on May 28, 1956 in Bellevue, OH to Ray Litteral and Virginia (Stanley). Randy received his Bachelors Degree from Bowling Green State University in 1994 and later earned a Masters Degree as well. Over the course of his life, Randy drove semi truck for 20 years, worked in waste water management in the Everglades in Florida, taught at Maumee Valley Country Day School, and Firelands BGSU and finally worked in research sales for EMD Chemicals, Sigma Aldrich and Sepax Technologies. Randy enjoyed being active in personal investments, nature, spending time with his family and partying with the young people in the room. He is known for his one-liners, dad jokes and caring advice. Randy is survived by his wife, Amy (Reer) Litteral, whom he married on August 2, 1997. He is also survived by his daughters, Brandi (AJ) Whisler of Phoenix, AZ, Kourtnee (Sean) Litteral-Welch of Columbus and Kaitlynn (Jack) Donnelly of Vermilion; grandchildren, Ava and Asher Whisler; mother, Virginia Kwiatkowski; sister, Faith Ann LaCourse; his pet cats, Odie, Taffy, Daisy and Aurora and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Ray and various aunts and uncles. Friends may call on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11:00 am. Pastor Peter Dodd will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Randy was a pleasure to work with and we bonded over our love for animals. A donation to the Wood County Humane Society was made in honor of Randy.

I remember when Randy was about 4 or 5 and he wanted to dry the dishes. Every time I see that memory in my mind, I think about how happy we all were.
