<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Graveside services for Jackie Hackler, 78, of Pittsburg will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 12, 2021, at Matinburg Cemetery with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating.&nbsp; Interment will be in the Matinburg Cemetery.&nbsp; Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.&nbsp; Mr. Hackler passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in a Longview hospital.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Mr. Hackler was born September 30, 1943, in Pittsburg, to J.S. and Edith Allene Duncan Hackler.&nbsp; He attended Baylor University on a football scholarship, was a veteran of the United States Navy, former commander of the Pittsburg VFW, American Legion of Mt. Vernon, was the co-owner of Wholesale and Retail of oil and gasoline and convenience stores and attended both First Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">He is survived by his son, Michael S. Hackler; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bree Hackler, Kiley Anne Hackler, and Noah Kristopher Hackler; brother, Joe Max Hackler; and sister, Janice Hackler Kilpatrick; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Mr. Hackler is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, John Stanley Hackler.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">In lieu of flower the family request donations to Matinburg Cemetery Association or a charity of your choice.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">No formal visitation is scheduled.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>
