Aline Burton Pfeiffer Obituary

Aline Burton Pfeiffer, 90, of Baytown, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 in Baytown. She was born September 17, 1925 in Malakoff, Texas to her late parents, Otis Cartlidge and Vinnie Morgan Cartlidge. Mrs. Pfeiffer was a retired church secretary, having worked at St. John's United Methodist Church in Baytown and Calvary Baptist Church in Dayton and was formerly a teller at the original Citizens Bank in Baytown and the secretary to Mr. Hugh Echols. Aline spent her early years growing up in Humble, Texas before residing in the Baytown and Dayton area most of her life. She was a 1942 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, a longtime, active member of Memorial Baptist Church, member of the Order of the Eastern Star, lifetime member and former Leader in the Girls Scouts and lifetime member of the Lamar Elementary PTA. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an excellent cook who had written her own cookbook. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 46 years, Howard J. Burton and a sister, Maudine Cartlidge Smith. Survivors include her husband, Albert Pfeiffer, with which she recently celebrated their tenth anniversary; daughter, Beverly Porter and her husband David of Kenefick; sons, Jimmy Burton and his wife Pam of Lipan, Texas and Terry Burton and his wife Darla of Baytown; grandchildren, Whitney Medrano and her husband Chris of Dayton, Megan Gupton and her husband Rex of Dayton, Jamie Burton and fiancé Frankie Pasillas of League City and Skyler White of Kenefick; step-grandchildren, Michael Wooster, Aaron Wooster, David B. Porter and his wife Sara, Penni Sperier and her husband Joey and Keely Daigle and her husband Steven; great-grandsons, Wyatt Lee Medrano, Jase Christopher Medrano and Cole Easton Medrano all of Dayton and 6 step great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Alan Beck and Rev. Randy Piatt officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Medrano, Rex Gupton, Frankie Pasillas, Michael Wooster, Steve Pfeiffer and John Belk. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Lee Medrano, Jase Christopher Medrano and Cole Easton Medrano.
