Daniel J. DeFrancisco, 83, of Torrington, CT, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 8th, at his home.  He was married for 58 years to the late Sandra (Kish) DeFrancisco,  who was the love of his life.

Daniel was born in Torrington, CT on July 27, 1938, a son of the late Mary (Lovallo)  and Napoleon "Nappy" DeFrancisco.  He was a life long Torrington resident and graduate of Oliver Wolcott Tech.  He was well known throughout local car operations/businesses and was also an avid American Motors collector.  He enjoyed spending time with his son Brian,  at Countryside Motors on South Main Street.  He retired from the Thomaston School system.
He is survived by his son Brian D DeFrancisco and wife Diane of Torrington.  He also leaves behind his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,  many nieces and nephews,  and his beloved cat Joey.  He was predeceased by his sister,  Iris DeFrancisco

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 11th at Phalen Funeral Home,  with burial following at Saint Peter Cemetery.  Friends may call before the service from 11:00 Am to Noon.
