John A. Mennerich, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, November 8, 2021. He was 53. The son of Kathy (Lewis) Mennerich and the late William J. Mennerich, he was born on July 9, 1968 in Newburgh, NY. John, a lifelong area resident was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and Orange County Community College. Well known as the former owner and operator of The Skateboard Shop and the Hudson Valley Skateboard Park, both of Newburgh. He was an avid golfer and later operated a golf accessory shop. In addition to his mother of the Town of Newburgh, John is survived by his grandmother, Virginia “Ginny” Mennerich of the Town of Newburgh; a son, Ashton, of White Plains; three brothers, Aaron J. Mennerich of the Town of Newburgh, Shanon A. (Erica) Mennerich of Wallkill and Dana W. (Penny) Mennerich of the Town of Newburgh; many aunts and uncles two nieces and one nephew. Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory. Memorial Visitation will take place Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. A Service will take place following visitation at 4:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
