Yvonne L Garnett

A native and resident of Donaldsonville passed away on November 4, 2021 at OLOL Hospital in Baton Rouge at the age of 71. Visiting 9 AM, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Peter United Methodist Church, Donaldsonville until religious services at 11 AM. Interment in the Protestant Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted brother and sister-in-law; Grandison “Bubba” and Debra Garnett, sister Gwendolyn Garnett, a devoted niece Brittany Garnett, 5 nephews; Shawn (Toyia), and Herman (Erma) Comminey, Andrew (Candice) Chatman, Dontrell, and Christopher Garnett, a great nephew Shawn II, 6 great nieces; Bianca, Bria, Chloe, Jasmine, Kendra, and Jayden, a Godchild D’Ondre Fisher and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Grandison and Doretha Garnett, step mother Elizabeth T. Garnett, sisters and brothers-in-law Angela G. and Andrew Chatman, Jr., and Angelina W. and Herman Commine, Sr. She was a graduate of Lowery High School Class of 1970 and a beloved employee of Popeyes Chicken in Donaldsonville until her retirement
