<p>Ms. Nita Jean Scott, age 65, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 8, 2021 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.</p><p><br></p><p>Nita grew up in Covallo, California and lived in Alaska, Kansas, Texas, and Louisiana. She loved an adventure and loved to travel. She retired from American Airlines and was a dedicated and dependable employee. Nita was an avid animal lover, especially dogs. Her beloved dog, Cassie, was her long time companion.</p><p><br></p><p>Nita loved movies and was notorious doe sneaking candy, especially chocolate (and an occasional margarita). She was an awesome friend and was so loved.</p><p><br></p><p>Nita was preceded in death by her father, Howard; mother, Geraldine; and her brother, Barry. Nita is survived by her brother, Bruce; sister, Janet; nephew, Clinton; niece, Sherri; and a host of friends especially Sandy and Dee that will always miss her quick wit and sense of humor.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service for Nita will be Friday, November 12, 2021 at Merigold Place on Jackson Street in Alexandria, Louisiana with Dr. Steve Speer officiating. Her ashes will be spread in the beautiful Redwoods in California per her wishes. Pizza, cookies, and caramel M&amp;M's will be served afterwards, which were her favorites.</p><p><br></p><p>The family wishes to thank Marigold Place and Hospice for loving and caring for Nita. She had so many friends there. Her special friend and confidant there was Donellen. She spoke of her often and loved her so much.</p>
