Elaine H. Fetko Obituary

Elaine Fetko was called home to the arms of God on November 6, 2021. She was born on November 8, 1936 to Esther (Anderson) and Armond Hruby. Elaine was one of five siblings. She was predeceased by her sisters Lois and Eloise, and her brother Sonny. Elaine is survived by her sister Marilyn. In 1955, she married her cherished husband Richard Fetko who predeceased her in 2001, and together they raised five children in their home in Tolland, CT. Elaine and Richard enjoyed spending their time together playing on a few different bowling teams. Elaine had a career as an award winning Avon saleswoman, serving her community for more than 50 years. She was also a Girl and Boy Scout leader. Living life with confidence, sassiness, and adventure, Elaine enjoyed being with family and friends. She could be counted on to celebrate the biggest or smallest achievements of all her loved ones. Elaine loved her family and helped whenever she could. Circumstances being what they were, Elaine developed and embraced particularly deep relationships with her grandchildren, Amanda and Kyle. Elaine nurtured them and was instrumental in taking them under her wing, bringing them to maturity. The meals she prepared; the counsel she offered; the rides in the car where she spoke to them about life. Amanda always made it a point to be with her, late in life. Like Amanda, Kyle listened to his Grandmother, Elaine, always certain to show his gratitude, Their respect and love live on. Their respect and love as well as the whole family's have an enduring place as Elaine's legacy lives on. Elaine will be sadly missed by her family who remembers her as a lady with an outgoing and loving personality. She is beloved mother of and survived by her children Linda and husband Henry Wozniak of Vernon, Joseph Fetko of Stafford, Tammy Crabb of Enfield, and Michael Fetko of Clarksville, IN. Her son Richard, Jr. passed away last July, 2020 and is survived by his life partner Ann Hope Doudera of Stafford. Elaine was a proud and the most loving grandmother.
