Edward Victor Fryer passed from this world on the land that he loved during the morning of November 5, 2021. He suffered from health complications that took his life leaving behind a loving wife (Bev), two revering sons and their spouses (Jim/Heather and David/Erin), and their families (Kaitlyn, Carson, Hunter and Alexis, Colton), along with his siblings (Marilynn and Susie) and countless friends near and far. Early childhood adventures with his father in the hills and mountains of Montana and Wyoming inspired Ed’s adoration for the outdoors including all animals large and small. These experiences stirred a passion for range resources that grew into a successful and fulling career in ranch management. A stoic man of nature, Ed loved all things consisting of land and livestock. He dedicated much of his time perfecting the balance of land, labor, and cattle. He took pride in riding and driving good horses with much of the tack and harness built and maintained with his own hands. Many family members and friends relied on his input to make the most of their resources. Ed and Bev’s capstone project is their retirement property in the Bull Mountains. They both put their hearts and souls into making an idyllic place for their grandkids to enjoy horses and the gentle rolling topography. Ed was proud of constructing many specialized features, often working alongside family members to make the best better. Thank you for the ride, cowboy. The final trail to the Gates of Heaven is not easy, Ed, and you rode it well. Rest in peace.
