GALENA, KANSAS: Luellen “Lue” Frazier, age 82, passed away at 5:40 am, Monday, November 8, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Joplin, MO following an illness. Lue was born January 27, 1939 in Baxter Springs, KS. Her parents were Junior Leon and Fannie Lee (Curl) Duncan. She had lived in Cherokee County KS all of her life. She was a member of Tennessee Prairie Church, Galena, KS. She was a certified Medical Assistant, and had worked at Galena Nursing Center and Quaker Hill Nursing Home. She had also been employed at LaBarge, Joplin, MO. She retired as a cook at the Galena schools. She loved yardwork, growing flowers, and her vegetable garden. Lue was married to Bill Frazier March 18, 1964 in Lowell, KS. He preceded her in death May 21, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents and five brother, Norman, Bob, Gene, Mike, and Leon Duncan. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She cared for numerous children and called them all hers. She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, Galena KS at a later date.
