Bruce DeNeal Young, age 72, of Marion, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Marion General Hospital.

 Bruce was born in Marion on February 22, 1949 to the late Leo DeNeal and Sarah Ellen (Swavell) Young.  He graduated from Marion Harding High School and continued his education at The Ohio State University where he studied Physiology.

 Bruce worked for many years at Marion Power Shovel.  He also owned and operated Phoenix Home Improvement for more than 15 years. 

 Bruce enjoyed woodworking and working on houses.  He appreciated spending time with his children and helped to raise his grandchildren. 

 Bruce is survived by his children, Ryan DeNeal Young and Jennifer Ann Young; grandsons, Braeden and Gavin Blanton; and siblings, Ronald L. (Kathy) Young and Dale Arliss (Judy Highfield) Young.

 In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his former wife and partner, Evelyn Young; brother, Keith Young, and sister, Suzie Young.
