Robert "Guitar Man" Joseph Willis
<p>Robert Joseph Willis, fondly known as “Guitar Man”, age 73, of Sanford, NC, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at UNC Hospitals.</p> <p>He was born in Cumberland County, NC on March 29, 1948 to the late Joseph Willis and Emma Blackmon Willis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charlie Willis; son Robbie Willis and grandson Chris Wicker. Mr. Willis worked years ago for Perry Bros Tire Service but had been disabled for many years.</p> <p>He is survived by his long-time girlfriend Linda Loan; daughter Diane Willis Walston and husband Eddie of Cameron; siblings Barbara Ann Willis, Troy Lee Willis, Dena Willis, Laura Ann Willis; grandchildren Carly O’Quinn and husband Robin, Tiffany Conken and husband Jeremy, Hailey Walston, Aaron Walston; and great-grandchildren Summer, Landon, Journey, C.J., Liam, Maverick and Lilith. </p> <p>The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and other times at the home of Diane and Eddie Walston, 3043 Ponderosa Rd., Cameron, NC 28326. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 10th at 2:00 PM at Broadway Town Cemetery.</p> <p>The family requests, in lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.</p>Obituary
