Louise M. Lancaster Obituary

Louise M. Lancaster, age 84, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Friday, November 05, 2021 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born on June 26, 1937 in Hart, Michigan, the daughter of Archie and Nellie (Robbins) Beggs. She married Delbert Lancaster on October 12, 1968, and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2017.

Louise worked for Imperial Animal Products, mixed feed for Illinois Fur Breeders in Gurnee, Illinois, and was a mink farmer, bookkeeper, and laborer. She was a member of the Chauncey-Landes United Methodist Church and the Election Board.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; three brothers, Loren Beggs, Richard Beggs, and Donald Beggs; and one sister, Gladys Woodland.

Survivors include four children, Homer Lee Lancaster of Amory, Mississippi, Debbie Lancaster of Waukegan, Illinois, Brenda Lancaster-Crede of Beach Park, Illinois, and Ronald M. Rought of Allegan, Michigan; two brothers, Ralph Beggs of Mears, Michigan and Merle ‘Sonny’ Beggs of Mears, Michigan; two sisters, Marie Near of Rothbury, Michigan and Norma Whiting of Wichita Falls, Texas; seven grandchildren, Keith Elrod of Plainfield, Illinois, Shannon Lancaster of Wren, Mississippi, Lisa Lancaster of Amory, Mississippi, Shane Lancaster of Golden, Colorado, Dawn Lancaster of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, Shaun Lancaster of Amory, Mississippi, and Deanna Cartwright of Paddock Lake, Wisconsin; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 09, 2021 at 11:00 AM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, and may be viewed with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/emmonsmaceysteffey. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Louise's memory may be made to the Chauncey-Landes United Methodist Church.
