Robert B. Erskine, age 81, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandy Erskine; children, Sheri (Alex) Orban, Robert (Carol) Erskine and Scott Erskine; grandchildren, Sara Erskine, Isabel Erskine, and Scott Erskine. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Clara) Erskine. Robert lived most of his life in Berwyn, IL. Joining the Berwyn Fire Department in 1973. He served the city of Berwyn and its citizens for 25 years; ultimately retiring with the rank of Deputy Chief. Robert was a devoted husband to Sandy and an amazing father and grandfather. One of the last things Robert told his family was, he felt he'd lived a full life with zero regrets. He will be missed very much. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of services.
