Berthe Dion
(née Debreuil)
Peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the St. Claude Health Centre, Mme Berthe Dion passed away at the age of 92 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Denise Dion (Jean-Marie Parvais), Monique Dion (Joseph Binhas) and Roger Dion; her grandchildren, Katryne, Stéphanie and Philippe. She also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law Marie-Blanche Oliviero (Raymond Gobin) and Jeanne Dion; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband Roméo Dion; her parents, René and Anne-Marie Debreuil; her brother Roger (Odile) Debreuil; her in-laws, Elizabeth (Sylvio) Clermont, Camile (Jeanne) Dion, Léonard (Julienne) Dion, Estelle (Omer) L’Heureux, Madeleine (Jean-Marie) Philippe, Georges (Marie) Dion, Ferdinand Dion, Robert (Angèle) Dion, Jean Oliviero, Isabelle (Charles) Oliviero and Simone Dion.
Berthe was born in St-Lupicin, on January 19, 1929. She moved to St-Claude in 1944 with her parents and her brother Roger. She worked on her parent’s farm until she married Roméo Dion in 1967. They bought a farm on a quarter section of land where they raised three children and farmed for several years before moving to the manor in St. Claude in 1994.
Due to weather conditions the Funeral Service
has been postponed until Monday, November 15, 2021.
Private Funeral Services will be held in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Monday, November 15, 2021. Memorial Service at 1:30, Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. followed by interment in the Parish Cemetery.
