Roger Lee Marean, 60, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, in Indianola. Services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Westover Funeral Home. A visitation will take place before the service beginning at 10 am. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. In memory of Roger, please consider wearing casual or sports-themed attire. Roger was born March 22, 1961, in Des Moines, IA, to Robert and Irene (Johnson) Marean. Roger worked in Food Service for Sodexo at Broadlawns Hospital for 27 years, retiring in 2015. He was a long-time member of First Federated Church. He enjoyed reading and completing word searches. He was a true history buff and read many books on the subject. Roger also liked to watch his favorite shows such as Star Trek, Jeopardy and the Price is Right. He was a huge fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Roger is survived by brothers, Larry (Sherry) Marean, Jeffery (Karen) Marean, Thomas (Jeannie) Marean, Matthew (Denise) Marean; sister-in-law, Kellie Midgordon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Marean.
