<p>Ella Mae Teufel, 98, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Brenham, Texas.</p> <p>The visitation will be from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021 officiated by Pastor Matthew Jacobs at Prairie Lea Cemetery.</p> <p>Ella was born January 12, 1923 to Reinhardt and Alma (Dierking) Wensel. She was baptized on April 29, 1923 at St. James Lutheran Church-New Wehdem, and confirmed on April 10, 1938. She was married on November 28, 1943 to Edgar E. Teufel at St. James Lutheran-New Wehdem, TX.</p> <p>Ella was a talented seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed sewing for her family, friends, and neighbors from around the community for over 70 years, including many Maifest costumes. Ella also loved to bake for her family and always made sure to have cookies and BlueBell ice cream for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. <br /> <br /> Ella is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Harvey Arldt of Taylors, SC; daughter-in-law, Sandra Teufel of Brenham, TX; sister, Ora Nell Chernosky of Hempstead, Texas; granddaughter, Rhonda Craigen and Gaylon Mueller of Ledbetter, TX; grandson, Brian and Jill Arldt of Asheville, NC; granddaughter, Heather and Bill Marchbanks of Greenville, SC; grandson, John and Jessica Teufel of Brenham, TX; granddaughter, Jamie Teufel and Jamichael Williams of Katy, TX.; great- granddaughters Cassidy (Matt) Green of Brenham, TX, Sarah Marchbanks of Baltimore, MD, Abby Arldt of Winston-Salem, NC, Amy Teufel of Brenham, TX and Mallorie Williams of Katy, TX; great- grandsons, Tristan Teufel of Brenham, TX., Thomas Marchbanks of Greenville, SC., and Michael Williams of Katy, TX; and great-great- grandchildren, William Odis Teufel and Beau Riley Green. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Teufel, her parents, Reinhardt and Alma Dierking Wensel, her son, Odis J.
