Wayne Allen King, 70 of Follansbee, WV, passed away at 6:29 AM on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at his residence under the care of his family with the assistance of Valley Hospice.

Wayne was born on January 17, 1951 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of the late George and Edna (Cooper) King.

Wayne worked at Mt. State Carbon, Follansbee, WV as a lineman electrician. Many will remember Wayne for always watching the Steelers and any other team that beat Ohio State, hunting and fishing in his young years; but most of all, being a true family man.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Bobbie Harper.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 35 years, Glenda (Gunn) King, five children, Dana King, Michelle King, all of Follansbee, WV, Jessica Maradiaga and her companion, Ryan Darrow of Steubenville, OH, Lindsay Armitage of Cincinnati, OH and Jacob King of Follansbee, WV, six grandchildren, Alissa and Jocelyn King, Orrin Newton, Leo Conner, Aliera Darrow and Abe Still, a sister, Barbara Filipponi and her husband, Ralph of Monongahela, PA and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 12:30 until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 PM at the Follansbee Church of Christ, Penn and Neville Street, Follansbee, WV with Minister Dan Cooper, Officiating.
