Lois M. Creager

Mrs. Lois M. (Pepple) Creager, 80, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Quincy Township, PA. Born April 19, 1941 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Luray L. (Snider) Pepple. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area. Ms. Creager was a graduate of the Scotland School for Veteran’s Children with the Class of 1959. She worked at Joy’s House of Beauty, Hair Graphics, Bob’s Hide-Away, Black Horse Tavern and Blondie’s. Ms. Creager was a member of Moose Lodge #1191 and Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, both of Waynesboro. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, rides in the mountains, going to the beach and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by three children, Theresa L. Hickok of Waynesboro, Rodney L. Creager, Jr. and his wife, Ashley of Johnstown, PA and Sahara L. Creager of Fayetteville, PA; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her former spouse, Rodney Creager, Sr. of Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mitchell W. Hickok; one sister, Priscilla R. Powell; and three brothers, Clarence A. Pepple, Jr., Walter C. Alter and James Pepple. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268. Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro is handling the arrangements. Lois was one of a kind whose laugh was infectious. We worked together at Hair Graphics and had remained friends for over 40 years. My prayers for the family that God will comfort them and keep them until they are together again.
