Beverly E. (Wilson) Crosby, 83, of Taunton, formerly of Brockton, passed away November 5, 2021 at Morton Hospital in Taunton after a brief illness. Born in Boston on July 12, 1938, Beverly was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Sharpe) Wilson. She was raised in Dorchester and had lived in Bellingham and Milford prior to moving to Brockton in 1976 where she was devoted to raising her family for over 40 years. Beverly had been employed in caring roles at nursing homes and Head Start, was dedicated to foster parenting and advocating for children, and ran support groups for autism. She also enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting, playing cards and Yahtzee and was an avid reader.  Beverly was the wife of the late Richard B. Crosby; beloved mother of Susan Goche of Walpole, Cynthia Miceli (and Thomas) of East Falmouth, Kathleen Doherty (and John) of East Falmouth, Charles Crosby (and Rose) of Coral Springs, Florida, Linda Crosby (and Daniel Climo) of Taunton, and the late Richard B. Crosby Jr.; loving grandmother of Jennifer, Melissa, Beverly, Keri, Steven, Christopher, Michael, Mark, Kimberly, Kaitlin, Nicholas, Kevin, Jacob, Kyle and Victoria; great-grandmother of 21; sister of Janice Westra of Tucson, Arizona and the late Beatrice Heisler, Nancy Patterson and Charles and James Wilson; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 3 to 5 p.m. and her funeral prayer service at 5 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton followed by a Celebration of Life at Emerald Hall, 30 Central St. in Abington. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to American Cancer Society.
