Obituary
Lifelong Alaskan and Kasilof resident, Robert Lloyd Correia, 48, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at home. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at the New Life Fellowship Church on K-Beach in Kasilof, with a potluck following. Robert was born Nov. 30, 1972, in Homer. He was in the first graduating class from Skyview High School, in 1991. He also received his EMTI certification from Kenai Peninsula College. Robert was a seasoned commercial fisherman, expert woodcutter, and also an apprentice/member of the I.B.E.W. At various times, Robert volunteered with the Food Bank, the Boys and Girls Club, AWANA, and, most recently, KAIROS Prison Ministry. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jared Galloway, stepfather, Martin Galloway, uncles, Mike Wiley and Kevin Hatten, and niece, Raisa Rea. Robert is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Stacy Jo (Huddleston) Correia of Kasilof; daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Paul Ceffalio of Buffalo, New York; son and daughter-in-law, Ray James and Sara Correia of Kasilof; sons, Anthony and Luke Correia; daughters, Tyrrell, Kwiley and Elena Correia; grandson, August Correia; mother, Nita Galloway; father, Robert A. Correia and his wife, Liz Schmitt; and sisters, Barbara Turvin and Kristin “Kiki” Koiv, all of Kasilof. His family said, “Robert often expressed his desire to ‘live my life as a testimony of God’s love.’ We have two words for you, dear Robert: Mission accomplished.” Memorial donations may be given to the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, 33955 Community College Drive, Soldotna, AK 99669 or online at kpfoodbank.org.
