<p>Carolyn Lorraine Edwards Bowes, age 83 of Long Beach, passed away on November 2, 2021.</p> <p>She was born in 1938 in McComb, MS. She was a ninth-generation Mississippian descending from pioneer families who settled southwest Mississippi in the early 1800s, when Mississippi was a territory.</p> <p>Carolyn spent her childhood with her Gatlin grandparents in Kentwood, LA and her early teen years in Elton, LA. She then moved to Pass Christian, MS, where she was a former State and Internationally Certified City Clerk and Tax Collector. After 17 years, she began a successful second career as a Real Estate Broker/Associate with Coldwell Banker Alfonso Realty.</p> <p>&nbsp;Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin Edwards and Florence Lorraine Gatlin Gladden; and her husband, Harry James Bowes.</p> <p>She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Ann Fay; her son Harry McRedmond Bowes; her grandchildren, Melissa Fay, Gatlin Fay, and Caroline Fay; and her great grandchildren, Chloe Marie Balcita and Benjamin James Balcita.</p> <p>She was a lifetime member of the Gulf Coast Symphony Guild and belonged to many other civic organizations. Carolyn Lorraine Edwards Bowes, age 83 of Long Beach, passed away on November 2, 2021.
