Sharon J. Sternal
(Nee Smith) Passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Nov 2, 2021. She was 81 years old. Beloved, endearing wife to Robert for 63 magnificent years. Loving, sweet mother of Catherine (James) Mirda, Barbara (John) Grassy, and Marie (John) Marquardt. Proud grandmother of James Mirda, Daniel Mirda, Johnny Marquardt, Thomas Marquardt, and Eric Marquardt. Great-grandma of Victoria (Marquardt), and Kane (Marquardt). Also survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her immediate family, parents, Darwin and Florence Smith, brothers, Elton, Eugene, Ross and Roger Smith who all grew up in Chippewa Falls, WI.
Sharon worked in food service at St. Anne’s Retirement Community and Olive Garden. Sharon was also a graduate of Wisconsin School for the Deaf in Delavan, WI.
She was also a cherished housewife and an amazing Mom. She blessed everyone in her path with her beautiful, infectious smile. Mom could make everyone smile! She loved spending time cooking and being with her family, visiting antique shops and going for rides with her husband in their 1956 Chevrolet Bel Aire for the last 35 years.
Sharon and her husband enjoyed watching their favorite shows on the Hallmark Channel and the Western Channel.
Our sincerest gratitude goes out to Hartland Terrace Assisted Living for their utmost compassion and exceptional care. She was truly blessed to be part of their family.
Visitation Wednesday, November 10 at ST. DOMINIC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 18255 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI. from 11:00 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM.
There will be a private family internment on Nov 10, 2021, at Lisbon-Merton Union Cemetery, Town of Lisbon, Wisconsin.
