Finnie Seale passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Windcrest Alzheimer's Care Center in Abilene. Finnie was born in Lamesa, Texas on March 7, 1928 to James William Hightower and Vardie Winter Hightower, and graduated from high school in Vernon, Texas. She married Bill Seale on January 2, 1948 in Vernon, and in 1963 moved to Snyder where they were longtime residents and members of Colonial Hill Baptist Church. Bill preceded her in death on May 15, 2005. Finnie was an avid golfer and The Club Champion Golfer for many years at the Snyder Country Club. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and loved her family with all of her heart. She was a very giving, serving person. Finnie is survived by a daughter, Marsha Seale Moore, and a son, Kris Seale and his wife, Melinda, all of Abilene. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Amy Moore Paquette, Dylan Moore, Amanda Seale, Drew Seale and Shannon Seale, and two great-grandsons, Elias and Ari Paquette. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM, Friday August 7, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 8, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel, 3101 College Avenue, Snyder, Texas. Entombment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder.
Finnie had a great love for flowers, but memorials may also be made to Windcrest Alzheimer's Care Center, 6050 Hospital Dr., Abilene, TX 79606
