Janice L. Johnson

Janice L. Johnson, age 66, of Forest Hill, MD, died on July 5, 2009 at her daughter's home. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Lee and Hallie Mae Neely Smith. A 1961 graduate of Bel Air High School, she worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground until her retirement in 2005. She loved her grandsons and enjoyed farm life and caring for her property and animals. She also enjoyed reading and was a very spiritual person who said, "If someone needs you, always do your best to be there for them." Ms. Johnson is survived by her son, Brendon Johnson of Texas; daughter, Melinda "Mindy" Johnson-Dozier and her husband, Prince, of Abingdon, MD; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Stewart and her husband, Matt; grandchildren, Chris and Timmy Johnson; brother, Larry Smith; special sister; Yvonne Bishop; companions, Roxy and Bailey; and a host of family and friends. Pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Timmy Johnson, Zach Trees, Danny Sicca, Prince Dozier, and Matt Stewart. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Gift may be made in her name to FCCAU (Faith Community Civic Agencies United), P.O. Box 274, Bel Air, MD 21014.

We all miss you, our Miss Janice. Maggie especially misses her Sponge Bob Buddy. We were so blessed to have had such a good friend and neighbor - our deepest sympathy and condolences to Mindy, Chris, and Prince.
