Eleanor Bradley (Grier) Lee, Age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Avondell Assisted Living in Bel Air surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of William Humes Grier and Mary Bradley Grier of Darlington. Eleanor was born in Jarrettsville, MD. She was a homemaker with many talents, including helping 'Big Joe' with all his business ventures as well as the prolific writing of hilarious family oriented poetry. She graduated from Aberdeen High School and University of Delaware, majoring in Psychology. While in college, she met her future husband, Norman Joseph Lee, Jr., who was fresh out of the Navy, being an original "Frogman" and Member of the elite "Scouts & Raiders." They eloped and were married 2 days before her college graduation. Eleanor was a member of Grove Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen. She is survived by her children, N. Joseph Lee, III of Alabama, Daniel Walsh Lee and wife Cindy of Perryville, Elizabeth Lee Hacke and fiancé John Cunningham of South Carolina and Andrew Grier Lee and wife Colleen of Havre de Grace. She is predeceased by a daughter, Kristin Grier Lee. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Eleanor is also survived by her sisters Beth Grier Carroll, of Aberdeen and Ann Grier Thompson, of California. She is preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Grier Fretz of Pennsylvania. After the service a Celebration of Life will take place at MacGregor's Restaurant (Upstairs Banquet Room), 331 Saint John Street, Havre de Grace, MD 20178 will take place from Noon 'til 3pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Navy SEAL Museum, 3300 N. Highway A1A, Fort Pierce, FL 43949 or The Jane M.
