Samantha L. Pento Obituary

Samantha L. Pento, 31, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospital in New Bedford.

Samantha was born in Fall River and was the daughter of Michael J. Pento and Tammy A. (Rioux)

Samantha was known by everyone as a bright, kind and caring young woman with a passion for art. Samantha’s talent shown through in her drawing and coloring, something she enjoyed immensely. A bright spirit with a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh, Samantha lit up the room when she entered. If you met her, you never forgot her. Most of all, she was a dedicated mother who cherished the time she spent with her children.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her beloved children Jada-Lynn and Landon Dumican and her step-mother, Heidi Smith Pento all of Easton; sister, Lesslie Almeida and her husband Brian of Fall River and Joshua Pento and his wife Kayla of Rehoboth; as well as step-siblings, Jocelyn Slater of New York City, and Jacob O’Brien of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Aiden and Rylan Almeida and Brooke and Riley Pento and her grandparents, Alan and Karen (Dolan) Rioux of Somerset; Samantha is also survived by her extended family and countless lifelong friends.

She was the sister of the late Sydney Picard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 9-11am in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset. Prayers will begin in the funeral home at 11am.

Burial services will be held privately at a later date.
