Willie Andrew Clayton, Jr., 89, of 530 City Lake Rd., Roxboro, died Thursday, October 28, 2021. Born in Person County, Mr. Clayton was the son of the late Willie Andrew and Emily Semora Harris Clayton. He was also preceded in death by ten siblings. Mr. Clayton retired from Snipes Brothers Oil Company and was a member of Theresa Baptist Church. Mr. Clayton is survived by his wife, Christine C. Clayton; three children, Donnie Clayton and wife Christy, Delores Clayton Stuart and Janet Thornburg and husband Craig; seven grandchildren, Matthew Thornburg, Leanne Thornburg Pulliam and husband Lee, Andrew Clayton and wife Kristin, Kelly Clayton and wife Ashley, Christopher Stuart and wife Erin, Johnathan Stuart and Rockie Stuart; seven great-grandchildren, Cole, Harley Rae, McCoy, Merle, Archer, Brantley and Maverick. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Theresa Baptist Church by the Rev. Ben Francis and the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 10-11AM Saturday at Theresa Baptist Church prior to the service and at other times at the home.
