Slater A. Miller Obituary

Slater Albert Miller died suddenly on October 25, 2021 at his home in Minneapolis, leaving behind many stunned and grieving friends and family members. 

Slater was born on June 29 1988 to Edward and Jacqueline Miller in Iowa City, Iowa.  He moved with his family to Eden Prairie, MN when he was 4 years old and graduated from Eden Prairie Highschool in 2006.  Slater received a diploma of Machine Tool Technology from Minneapolis Community and Technical College in 2011.  He also attended the University of Minnesota, College of Mechanical Engineering until forced to withdraw due to the pandemic.  Slater worked as a Machinist at Super Radiator Coils, Ltd. in Chaska, MN.  He was a passionate advocate for social justice, an artist, practitioner of Capoeira, avid video gamer, and an all-around good person and good friend.  Slater is survived by his parents, Ed and Jackie Miller of Seattle, Washington; his sister Cory Stehpenson and her family of Moretown, VT and his brother, Jremiah Miller and his family of Seattle, WA, plus a large extended family in New Jersey and elsewhere, including his much loved Aunt Susan of Ashburn, Virginia.  Slater also leaves behind many lifelong friends in the Minneapolis area.  Pickles, the cat, Slater's beloved pet will be moving to Seattle. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
