Jeri

Loessel, Geraldine “Jeri” (Hunn), loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on October 28, 2021 at age 91. Jeri was born to Clarence and Evelyn (Dietz) Hunn on March 22, 1930. Jeri was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth “Ken” Loessel and special friend Sookie Lacriox. Jeri is survived by her three children and their spouses: Deena (Mike) Dickerson, Mark (Cindy) Loessel and Tami (Mike) Porritt. She was a loving grandmother to: Matt (Alyssa) Loessel, Ami (Adam) Preston and Kenneth Porritt along with her great-grandchildren: Grace and Kristopher Loessel, Jacob, Noah and Christian Preston and Ami, Charlie and Kenneth Porritt Jr. Jeri worked for Kearsley Schools as a secretary and then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Central Michigan University. Jeri loved her career as a RN which included working at Flint Osteopathic, flint Red Cross and Baker College in Flint. She accrued many wonderful friends in her very fulfilling life. Cremation services have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. A memorial service will be held on Sunday October 31st at 11:00 AM at Muir Brothers. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 on Sunday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Red Cross or Kindred Hospice.
