Mark Kevin Vincent

Mark Kevin Vincent, 61, of New Berlin, died at 6:10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Aperion Care in Jacksonville. Mark was born June 7, 1954 in Bloomington, IL, the son of Maurice and Kathleen Austin Vincent. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lisa; his parents; and his brother, Christopher. He is survived by his sons, Austin Vincent of Springfield and Christopher (wife, Brittany) Vincent, his partner, Jeannie Zeck of Jacksonville; and grandchildren, Christopher, William, and Aubry Vincent. He attended Greenview High School, where he won the Arion Award in 1972. Mark was an entertainer performing piano shows and comedy in various senior centers and nursing homes throughout Illinois as well as performing in many famous venues around the country. Mark was a member of the Swing Street Jazz Ensemble. He also played piano at Island Grove Methodist Church in New Berlin. In addition to his music career, Mark had a juris doctor degree. Mark is known and beloved for his wit, humor, and tenderness. Throughout his years, he faced his ordeals with courage. Cremation has been accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society. The family will host a memorial ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Island Grove Methodist Church, 16128 Old Jacksonville Rd., New Berlin with Rev. Matthew Woodcock officiating.
