Jacqueline J. Dollen, age 83, of Persia/Shelby, Iowa passed away October 26, 2021 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Jackie was born November 5, 1937 in Dunlap, Iowa to the late Millard and Norma (Schaefer) Benedickt. She graduated from Magnolia, Iowa High School in 1955. Jackie married Duane Dollen on August 6, 1958. Four daughters and two sons were born to this union. Jackie was a farm wife and homemaker; she owned and operated the Country Mall in Neola and was a fabulous seamstress. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Neola and was an active supporter of Tri-Center Schools. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Dollen in 1987 and her great-granddaughter, Lucy Clevenger. Jackie is survived by her children, Jonette (Jim) Fischer of Minden, Iowa, Lynette Dollen of Chandler, Arizona, Paulette (Duane) Barrier of Council Bluffs, Danette (Pat) Lodes of La Vista, Nebraska, Scott “Tiny” (Kelly) Dollen of Persia, Steven (Diane) Dollen of Persia; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Sue) Benedickt of Logan, Iowa; sister, JoAnn Collins of Gravette, Arkansas; nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or Tri-Center Scholarship Foundation.
