Linda Louise Sisk Schroeder, 73, passed away in her home in Bend, Oregon on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Linda was born in Decatur, Texas on November 29, 1947 to Ollie Kingsley and Mattye Mary Sisk. Linda attended Alvord High School, received her Bachelors from North Texas State University, and her Masters from University of Houston. She met her husband Roland Schroeder in Houston, TX and married on June 30, 1984. A retired English teacher for high school and college, Linda taught for over 40 years and was a member of Mensa. Linda was a natural athlete, and grew up playing basketball, tennis and ran track in high school. She loved music and greatly enjoyed playing piano. Linda loved nature and took pleasure in bird-watching, visiting National Parks, and was a lifetime animal and dog lover. In her free time, she delighted in playing Scrabble with friends, reading, and traveling with her family. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Sue Lymberopoulos and Sandra Smith. She is lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 37 years, Roland Schroeder; son Will (Ryan) Schroeder and fiancé Felicity Brigham of Seattle, Washington; daughter Vanessa Schroeder and husband Brandon Haslick of Burns, Oregon; sister Kaye Hardy and husband John Hardy of Houston, Texas; and brother Wiliam Sisk and wife Alana Sisk of Tomball, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to either the Mattye and Ollie Sisk Memorial Scholarship or the ASPCA. The family is planning a celebration of life in the spring of 2022 in Houston, Texas. Information about the donations and celebration of life are available at lindaschroedermemorial.com
