Bonnie Jean Salyers, 71, of Mud Fork, WV gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH.  Born June 4, 1950 in Pike County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Alfred McCoy and Emogene (Moore) McCoy.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert “Big Bob” McCoy and David Michael McCoy, and three sisters, Barbara Marcum, Peggy Hammonds, and Deborah Hopkins. 

Bonnie never met a stranger and would light up a room with her smile when she entered.  Bonnie loved her family, but the lights of her life were her two grandchildren, Austin and Kevin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Cleet Salyers of Mud Fork, WV, her daughters, Angie (Jason) Ellis of Milton, WV and Crystal Stewart of Chattaroy, WV, three brothers, Gary “Butch” McCoy of Stone, KY, Tommy (Judy) McCoy of Olive Hill, KY, and Ricky (Melinda) McCoy of Wheelersburg, OH, five sisters, Sandra (Erchil) Dockery of Continental, OH, Vicky Justus of Hazel Green, KY, Teresa Thrasher of Defiance, OH, Janet (Ralph) Pack of South Portsmouth, KY, and Janice Rhoden of New Boston, OH, special cousins, Denny (Sharon) Moore of Forest Hills, KY, Douglas (Debbie) Thomason of Alabama, Bruce (Judy) McCoy of Rawl, WV, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, KY with Pastor Anthony Moss officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
