Phillip B. Scott 57 years old was accepted into the arms of his loving God on October 26, 2021. Phillip was born August 23, 1964, in Slayton, Oregon to Don Scott and Margie Scott. He enjoyed fishing with his cousin Ron Sunday, playing his guitar and singing any Meryl Haggard song. Phillip will be missed by so many, “the family knows he is talking to the Lord about the many bible scriptures he loved”. Preceding Phillip in death were his father, Don V. Scott, and brother Darrell Scott.Casket bearers will be, Jonathan Humphrey, Tron Scott, Travis Scott, Kennard Scott, Layman Scott and Ronnie Sunday. Honorary bearers will be, Donald R. Scott, Jesse Pigeon, Bob Green and Paul Johnson. The family includes his loving mother, Margie Scott of Vinita, OK; son, Cody Scott Langley and wife Cassi of Calera, OK; siblings, Diane Greer and husband John of Welch, OK, Donald Scott and wife Tracy of Vinita, OK, Cindy Armstrong and husband Joe of Vinita, OK, Ron Scott of Vinita, OK, Shanna Bartley and husband Bill of Vinita, OK; 3 grandsons, Luke, Easton, and Bowen Langley along with many very special nieces and nephews who will all miss him dearly. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita. Services will be Friday, October 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel with Pastor Justin Turner officiating. Interment will be at the Martin Cemetery by Centralia.
