Wesley Leroy Chidester

Wesley Leroy Chidester age 59 of Grove, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.  He was born on June 6, 1962 in Webb City, Missouri to Leon Chidester and Shirley (Eppright) Chidester.  Wesley was a carpenter for many years, loved to hunt and fish, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.  He is survived by his life partner, Paula Calvin; children, Chelsie Sidenstricker and Deshun Johnson, Whitney Garner and Kalen Allerton, Weston Chidester, Josh Calvin and Danielle, Tyler Howard, and Jacob Bennett; 12 grandchildren; sister, Shiela Lile and husband Rick; mother, Shirley Chidester Depriest &amp; Dale; his 2 companions, Max &amp; Eddie; stepbrothers Randy Depriest &amp; Debbie, and Rodney Depriest; one stepsister Rachelle and husband Rodney McAffrey; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.  Wesley was preceded in death by his father, Leon Chidester.   A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Purcell Friends Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.  Visit <a href="http://www.simpsonfh.com">www.simpsonfh.com</a> for online condolences.

Wes was a great neighbor. We will truly miss his hunting and fishing stories. So sorry that he couldn’t beat his cancer, we thought that until recently, he had won his battle. You have our sincere condolences. Randy and Linda
